Drilling Practice School for New Engineers

Introduction

This course includes ideas and concepts that have been accumulated, and observed during last twenty nine years of association with oil business. This course builds a firm foundation in the principles and practices of Drilling Technology including  well planning , rock bits, bit hydraulic optimization, directional drilling, calculations, and planning for directional, casing and cementing , drilling fluids, completion fluids, and extended reach  wells.

Objectives

Participants will receive instruction on planning and evaluating setting depth for casing and cementing calculation.

Training Methodology

The training methodology is interactive with group exercises and is suitable for all employees involved in functions management. The pace and level of the training workshop is customized to the understanding of the delegates. Ongoing back-up and support is available after the training on request to the supplier, and the training course is also available for in-house presentation as well as for “Competency Transfer”.

Who Should Attend?

Drilling engineers with a basic knowledge of well design principles, Technical, field, service, support and supervisory personnel desiring to gain an introductory overview of these topics and how they interrelate. Excellent for cross-training of other technical disciplines such as reservoir and surface facility engineers plus geoscientists. Also helpful for anyone who interacts with drilling, completion or work over design engineers such as technical supervisors and technical service personnel. How drilling, completing and re-working a well affect its ability to produce is stressed. casing and cementing operations; operator and service personnel Operating company and service company personnel responsible for planning, overseeing, and executing cementing operations Petroleum Engineers, Reservoir Engineers, Geologists, Geophysicists, Service Company Specialist Engineers (Cementing, Logging, Testing, Drilling Fluids, Drill Bits, Surface Facilities), Drilling Contractor Staff, Sales Engineers, Field Service Managers, R&D Scientists/Engineers Drilling engineers,  trainee drillers, rig engineers and service company personnel with basic drilling engineering
